  1. Lots of amazing things to talk about!1) Our album was the number 2 selling vinyl in all of the country last week! We were also #17 on the Heatseekers Billboard charts and 11 on Internet Albums. How cool is that? Thank you to everyone who bought our record, we couldn’t have done it without you. And of course, Count Your Lucky Stars Records andTopshelf Records! 2) We want to thank everyone who came out to our release show, all the amazing bands who played it, and the Flint Local 432 for hosting it. It was an incredible night and we were so happy we could share it with so many friends, family and fans. We have some posters left over that will be up in our webstore soon. For those of you who missed it, we played the entire album from front to back before playing some classics. We’ve always wanted to do that! 3) We’re gearing up for our full US tour with Free Throw, starting with a tour kick-off show with Mineral and Into It. Over It.! We can’t wait to see you all on the road!4) Count Your Lucky Stars extended their moving sale one more day since it’s Labor Day here in the states. A bunch of our stuff is super cheap too, go get it here: http://countyourluckystars.bigcartel.com/

  5. Last day to enter the title contest! Here are the rules, submit it tonight! I am a huge fan of referencing works that I love in our song titles. So much so, that a large body of our discography pays homage to other things that have inspired me or things I love, like quotes from RPGs, books, TV shows/movies, etc. So here is the contest. Below is a list of every song we have ever written/officially recorded. Prizes will be awarded to those who can correctly identify the most references as possible.

RULES: Most correct answers win. No points deducted for a wrong guess, but one guess per song. In the case of a tie, the first person who submitted the most correct answers wins. ONE SUBMISSION PER PERSON, so make sure you aren’t rushing too fast. We will have prizes for runner-ups too. I don’t expect anybody to get every song right, but I can’t wait to see all the answers you can dig up. If anybody correctly answers EVERY song right, we will do something very cool for everybody. There are a bunch of original titles too, so put “Original” to the right of the title if you think it is NOT a reference.

    EXAMPLES:

    1. Our Love Has Made Us Pariahs “ORIGINAL”

    AND

    2.Water- ROBERT LOWELL POEM

Hint: read the liner notes for help.

Prizes are as follows. First place can choose their package, then second, then third.

Package #1: Test pressing of “You Will Eventually Be Forgotten”
Package #2: Test pressing of “What It Takes to Move Forward”
Package #3: Signed copies of “On Time Spent Waiting”, and the Rika, Arrows, and CYLS #1 and #2 split.

Just copy the list and put your answers to the right in and email it to empireempireband@gmail.com with the subject “EE Title Contest”. GOOD LUCK!
