mhmsoyeah asked: You guys kick ass. I saw you at Swerp in early January. Before you played Riovanes you said "We don't usually play this song, and you'll see why." or something like that. I never really understood why because it was everything I wanted it to be. Easily one of my most memorable live experiences. So yeah, why?
Thanks! That was a fun show. It’s because it kills my voice, I can’t do that night after night so we only do that for one-offs or super short tours.
Thanks everybody for making these last few weeks amazing! The final tallies of the downloads came to 63,776, which was an enormous number and we are overwhelmed that so people grabbed our records :)
We haven’t forgotten about the free t-shirts, even if you have ;) We will be announcing the winners of them tomorrow.
All eBay winners who had paid should either have their records or they are on the way. Those who haven’t paid, try to get to it soon so we can get you your record. <3
Anonymous asked: Hey man. What were your PBs on the track? Were you good?
Personal Best? Splits? I was pretty fast, yes. I honestly don’t remember my times but I easily lettered when I was a freshman and was consistently placing first or second almost every meet.
I quit after my sophomore year though, and I don’t regret it. I never liked track as much as I was fast and it made sense to do. I should have played baseball but most of the team was full of turds and at the time I just didn’t want to do sports anymore. I love sports again but I needed a break at that point in my life.
Anonymous asked: This might be a stupid question but was there something in particular that inspired the athletics lyrics in Turbo Stasis? The first time i heard it I actually laughed at how unique and awesome they were.
As in, why did I choose to write about that particular event in life over anything else? I never really set out to write a song about a particular subject, it just sort of works it’s way in and I shape it from there.
I like to write about everyday events and dress them up.
atleastmycatstilllovesme asked: I used to see you guys play in my hometown of Midland, Michigan and it was always bomb. You guys were always a huge influence not just in the music I play but in that I play music. Thanks for being awesome, stoked to see you at Bledfest. Love, Davey
We love Midland! My best friend Andrew is from there. He is in an excellent band called Mountains for Clouds.
Can’t wait to hang out!
